Christmastide/ Epiphanytide a joyous one for St. Luke’s parishioners
St. Luke’s annual Epiphany Party was preceded this year by a well-attended service of Solemn Evensong by candlelight in the Nave with Lessons and Canticles led by our youth group. The party itself filled the beautifully decorated Parish Hall to beyond capacity, featured a number of delightful dishes brought by parishioners, solos on the piano and harp by our youngsters, singing by the youth group and other parishioners, and impromptu hymns led by an improvisational piano and guitar duo from amongst our ranks.

Generations X & Y at St. Luke’s enjoyed a day on Shasta Lake Resorts’ “Party Cruiser,” Saturday, September 20th. The boat was equipped with an upstairs deck & slide, in addition to tables & chairs, a stereo system, a cooler and gas grill downstairs where hamburgers & hot dogs were grilled. It was the first of what will hopefully be an annual event.
